Eddie Dunbar will be centre of attention at a new sportive event with meet and greet. It's €20 per rider and there's a range of routes to choose from.
Currently preparing for his first full season in the WorldTour with Team Sky, Eddie Dunbar is also making time to turn out on home roads.
On Sunday week, December 30th, Dunbar will be the star turn at the new 'Cycle With a Pro' winter sportive with meet and greet.
The event is being put on by Dunbar's home club, O'Leary Stone Kanturk. Prices are €20 per rider or €10 for the family ride.
There are three routes available, including the longest one at 80km, the middle distance of 60km and the family loop of 15km.

It's an opportunity to meet up for a social mini sportive just before the New Year starts.

And it will also give cycling fans a chance to meet Eddie Dunbar for a celebration of his moving up in the world of pro cycling in recent months.
He will probably spend most of next year on the road abroad with Team Sky. So this may be the last public social outing he has at home for some time.
Sign-on at Kanturk Rugby Club, for whom Dunbar used to play as the photo in this piece proves, is from 9am. The rides will leave the rugby club at 10am.
O'Leary Stone Kanturk said those present can meet Dunbar, ride with him and get jerseys signed.
And when you pay your entry fee you will also be entered into a draw to win a Team Sky jersey. It sounds like a bit of craic if you're in the area.
