Eddie 'The Power' Dunbar
Young Irish climber Eddie Dunbar was in the breakaway on Thursday and Friday, stages 12 and 13, at the Giro, collecting a 3rd place at his first attempt in the high mountains.
That stage 12 also offered the first indication of his power output for the race, leading one fan on social media to dub him Eddie 'The Power' Dunbar - not to be confused with darts "legend" Phil 'The Power' Taylor, who definitely doesn't go up mountains as fast.
On the Montoso cat 1 ascent - a 9km climb at 9.6 per cent - Dunbar put out 340 watts for the final 2km in 9½ minutes of climbing.
That works out at just under 6W/kg for the 57kg Irish climber.

It's a TV screen grab of 6'9" Conor Dunne finishing stage 12 just behind Miguel Angel Lopez (Astana) and Mikel Landa (Movistar) - both of whom are just over a foot smaller than Dunne.
James Cain took the screen grab (below) as Lopez and Landa scampered in ahead of Dunne with the following caption: "Conor Dunne looking like a dad out with his two boys in the giro today".
Declan Quigley goes nuts
Irish commentator Declan Quigley is on the Giro commentating for the FloBikes North American online channel.
They stuck a camera on the Irishman as he called the bunch sprint that decided stage 11.
The clip has just emerged of Quigley cheering home Caleb Ewan. Let's hope we see him from this angle next time Sam Bennett takes a big win!
