Eddie Dunbar back in action for Team Ineos on course well suited to him

Eddie Dunbar likes the punchy climbs and he will have plenty of that terrain in Belgium over the next five days

Eddie Dunbar is back in action tomorrow in Belgium with Team Ineos for his first outing since the national championships almost one month ago.

The young Irishman is riding his first full season at
WorldTour level and has enjoyed a great campaign to date.

He rode an attacking race at the Giro, placing 3rd on a stage and 22nd in the final general classification.

Since then he has ridden La Route d'Occitanie, proving
the only rider to stay with Alejandro Valverde on the uphill finish on stage 1.

He went on to take 7th on another stage, 5th overall and
2nd overall in the young rider classification.

At the nationals four weeks ago Dunbar was 2nd in both
the TT and road race, to Ryan Mullen and Sam Bennett respectively.

Tomorrow Eddie Dunbar is part of a Team Ineos line-up
that takes on the Tour de Wallonie.

And with plenty of short sharp climbing, including two
uphill finishes, this is a race that can suit the Irishman.

He is in the team with Filippo Ganna, David de la Cruz,
Chris Lawless, Kristoffer Halvorsen, Christian Knees and
Diego Rosa.

There are short testing ramps to the finish line on stage
2 and stage 5, the final day of action.

Meanwhile, on stage 3 there is a series of climbs just
before dropping in to the finish.
