Corkman Eddie Dunbar will be riding in
new colours later this season as his Team Ineos is undergoing another name change
and will now be known as Ineos Grenadiers.

This is second name change in just over
a year for the outfit formerly known as Team Sky and will come into effect starting
with the Tour de France from August 29th.

The new name has been chosen to help promote the new Grenadier 4X4 being released by Ineos and its billionaire chairman Jim Ratcliffe; the vehicle set for production in late 2021.

It is a very large 4X4, similar in look to the Land Rover Defender. Ratcliffe had tried to buy the rights to the Defender from Land Rover, but was unsuccessful.

However, that hasn’t stopped him
pressing ahead with his Grenadier and using the publicity the Tour will bring to
launch the new vehicle.

“The change will align the team with the
Grenadier, a no-nonsense 4x4 vehicle designed, engineered and manufactured by
Ineos Automotive,” the team said.
