Eddie Dunbar will mark one full year with Team Ineos-Team Sky when he returns to race in Italy this week.
The 23-year-old, who has just signed to Team Ineos for three more seasons, joined Team Sky as it was then this time last year after Aqua Blue Sport had collapsed.
The young Irishman rode the late season Italian semi classics and excelled; helping the team to a number of wins.
Tomorrow Dunbar rides Giro della Toscana, which was won by his team mate Gianni Moscon 12 months ago.
Dunbar has just come out of the Tour of Britain and though there has been little time to rest, he will be looking forward to some hard racing before he represents Ireland at the World Championships in Yorkshire.
He lines up in Italy as part of a very strong team that includes Tour de France champion Egan Bernal, though Moscon is absent.
Ivan Sosa is also in the line-up as are Jonathan Castroviejo, Filippo Ganna, Jhonathan Narvaez and Diego Rosa.
