Eddie Dunbar swapped his cycling gear for running kit at home in Ireland yesterday when he competed in a 5km road run, finishing in the top 15 from a field of over 400 runners.

The Ineos Grenadiers rider, who lives in Monaco but is a regular visitor back home to his native Cork, ran the Duhallow Athletic Club Newmarket 5km Road Race on Sunday.

In a field of 424 athletes, a mix of men and women, the Irish international pro cyclist placed a more than respectable 15th. He clocked a time of 15:26, which was 1:20 down on race winner Eimhin O'Broin of Togher AC.
