Eddie Dunbar will be straight back into race action this weekend after being given the all clear following his racing crash at Settimana Internazionale Coppi e Bartali (2.1) last week.
The Irishman crashed very hard on his lower left side but
X-rays and scans after the crash showed no broken bones.
That meant Dunbar was able to get back on his bike immediately and while he missed what may have been a great race for him to shine in, he now returns to competitive action immediately.
Dunbar has been named in the Ineos Grenadiers line-up for
GP Indurain in Spain on Saturday alongside Andrey Amador, Jonathan Castroviejo
and Laurens de Plus.
Also in the selection are Sebastian Henao, Ben Swift and
Cameron Wurf, completing what is a very strong line-up.
The 203km race starting and finishing in Estella
is littered with small climbs, including four categorised ascents, the last of
which is crest 10km from the finished followed by two further rises before the
finish line.
The main opposition includes Bauke
Mollema (Trek-Segafredo), Jesús Herrada
and Guillaume Martin (Cofidis), Alejandro Valverde (Movistar) and Brandon
McNulty, Rafal Majka and Diego Ulissi, all of UAE Team Emirates.
