You really have to hand it to the Dutch when it comes to cycling. And you have to love the way the Prime Minister made sure to lock the bike despite who he was there to see.
Dutch Prime Minister cycles to meet King to form government
Ireland has several politicians who get around by bike. And even our current Taoiseach Leo Varadkar takes part in triathlons.
But the Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte has outdone them all.
He's become an instant legend by cycling to a meeting with the Dutch King Willem-Alexander to inform him of his plans to form the new government.
And despite the surroundings and the heavy security, Rutte made sure to lock his bike on the way in to the meeting.
The cameras were there to record him on his way in and leaving after the chat. And he's become an instant hero all over Holland.
There is a wider political setting to it all though. Despite the bike having pride of place, pollution is becoming a real political issue.
Parts of Amsterdam, Maastricht and Rotterdam are now showing high concentrations of nitrogen dioxide. The levels of pollution in the air break EU standards.
