The car has no problem giving the cyclists on the inside space; not so with the buses in this video.
Here at stickybottle we're not down on sharing the roads with cars and other vehicles.
We drive ourselves and we'd like to think the fact we're cyclists gives us an added awareness of other road users when he get behind the wheel.
A quick straw poll of those who work for the site suggests driver behaviour has generally improved; though the sample is far too small to be anywhere near scientific.
One vehicle type, perhaps due more to its size than drivers, that remains problematic? Buses.
To be absolutely fair to their drivers, the buses they're driving are huge and they're moving them around on a network of tight roads in the city centre.
But one thing that really cheeses us off is their leaving very little, if any, space for cyclists between their bus and the kerb; often overtaking cyclists and then moving right back into their path.
And even when there are dedicated cycle lanes, some bus drivers don't respect them.
This video posted on Twitter by cyclist Helen Vaughan - of Outsider Magazine - captures perfectly our experience of some buses on Dublin's streets; drivers not leaving a bit of space on the inside.
We stress; we are not anti driver or anti bus driver.
But with driver behaviour (in our opinion, maybe not yours) having improved towards cyclists in the last five years or so, that minority of bus drivers still have a way to go.
Take it away Ms Vaughan and thanks for a really succinct and informative clip.
Bus drivers who've clearly never cycled
What's a cyclist supposed to do here @Buseireann & @dublinbusnews? Cycle lane for cyclists, no? @dublincycling @Cyclistie @IrishCycle pic.twitter.com/YUDtjay9fW
