A Dublin cyclist has launched an appeal for help in his search to find a fellow cyclist who assaulted him in the city last week.

The injured party, who prefers not to be named at this point, said he was riding in Dun

Laoghaire on Wednesday of last week, March 29th, when the incident occurred.

He told stickybottle the other cyclist had almost knocked him off his bike in Blackrock a few minutes earlier.

“I explained to him that he couldn't cycle that dangerously just because he had a electric mountain bike,” he said.

“He smashed my head off a wall three times which cracked broke my helmet.”

The attacker got back onto his bike and fled the area in the direction of Sandycove.

“The helmet was worth €250 and my Garmin mount was also destroyed, aside from the guy attacking me.”

The victim said  his attacker was just over 6ft in height. He is of slim build and is probably in his late 30s or early 40s.
