Dopey criminal caught with drugs after stopped by Garda for cycling through red light

This is the haul of drugs and cash gardai found during searches prompted when a dopey criminal was stopped by gardai in Dublin cycling through a red light

A dopey criminal suspect was arrested by the gardai in Dublin yesterday when he attracted their attention by cycling through a red light.

The man was stopped on his bike by gardai from Pearse St station in Dublin's south inner city. The officers who pulled him over for cycling through the red light decided to search the man and found drugs and cash on him.

After the initial discovery the man was arrested and when gardai decided to a follow-up search at a undisclosed location linked to the man they found more drugs, cash, mobile phones and other items.

"Gardaí in Pearse Street stopped a cyclist going through a red light today. A quantity of drugs and cash were found in the cyclist’s possession," the Garda said last evening.

"Follow-up searches recovered almost €3,000 in various drugs including cocaine, MDMA and cannabis, and €2,400 in cash. Cyclist arrested."
