Dillon Corkery may have just come up short in his quest to win the National Road Championships in 2024 - finishing 2nd behind Darren Rafferty (EF Education-EasyPost) - but he'll still race this year in a jersey with a distinctly Irish feel.
He won't have to wait too long before he can test his form as he gets his new season underway in late January in Spain.
The 25-year-old, who won Rás Tailteann last year, competes again for French UCI Continental team, St Michel-Preference Home-Auber93, in the year ahead. And it has ditched its orange and yellow kit for a new orange and green look.
The new kit has been designed with new title sponsor, Preference Home, in mind. The home construction company's corporate colour is green, which has now been added to the traditional orange of the French cycling team it's now backing.
The kit is made by Poli Team Wear, the French sports clothing company now celebrating its 45th year in business, with cycling one of the key sports it caters for, along with athletics, rowing and skiing.
Corkery will begin his season at Gran Premio Castellón, a 171km UCI 1.1 race in Spain in January 25th. He'll then take on Grand Prix Cycliste de Marseille La Marseillaise (1.1) in France on February 2nd, followed by Tour de la Provence (2.1), a three-day stage race from February 14th.
“The 2024 season was my first as a professional and it didn’t disappoint," said Ireland's Corkery of stepping up to Continental level this year.
"From riding with the best in the world, to falling, to great teamwork, this was a season where I was able to learn a lot. I can't wait for next season."
