Darragh O'Mahony has taken strong results in France and now he has signed with the same pro cycling agent as Eddie Dunbar, Bob Jungels and Adam Yates.

Having moved to France this season and already enjoyed success there, Darragh O’Mahony has now signed with a pro cycling sports agency.

The Irish cyclist is the latest rider to sign up with Altus Sports Management.

It is run by cycling agent Gary McQuaid and already has a number of very strong riders on its books.

The move can hopefully assist O’Mahony into the pro ranks over the next year or two.

Eddie Dunbar, now riding with ProContinental team Aqua Blue Sport, is among the agency’s stable of riders.

Another signed with Altus is Bob Jungels; the Giro stage winner and Etoile de Bessèges victor now riding with QuickStep.

Others with the agency include Adam Yates (Mitchelton-Scott), Chris Lawless (Team Sky), Greg Daniel (Trek-Segafredo), Harry Sweeny (Mitchelton-Scott), James Knox (QuickStep) and Jan Polanc (UAE Team Emirates).

Irish U23 international rider O’Mahony (20) was 2nd in the Grand Prix de Châteaudun in the Eure-et-Loir department of northern France last weekend.

He added that to his 3rd place in the Grand Prix du Pays d’Aix the previous week. He is currently riding for top French team Nogent-sur-Oise.

O’Mahony is basing himself in France for the season having won some of the biggest races on the Irish calendar last year.

He is expected to be in the Irish U23 team for the fast-approaching Nations Cup races.
