Dan Martin’s team Garmin-Cervelo has seen data protection company Barracuda Networks come on board for 2012 in addition to Cervelo as a secondary sponsor.
The team has been rebranded Garmin-Barracuda, with some pretty decent team kit being produced as part of the rebrand exercise.
The mainly black jersey of last year has given way to a fresher lighter look, with a new blue, white and black jersey. The shorts follow the trend of pro teams in recent years; mainly black, but with some white and blue features to give them a bit of bang.
The team has maintained some of its trademark argyle in the design on both the shorts and jersey.
While Cervelo has effectively lost its place as co-title sponsor, it will continue with the team. Garmin remains the key sponsor, with Cervelo and Barracuda occupying an equal split of space on the new kit.
The team’s business structure remains the same and is still owned by Slipstream Sports.
“We are always looking for partners who, like Garmin, share our passion and commitment to the best innovations in technology, and Barracuda Networks is a perfect fit,” said Jonathan Vaughters, chief executive of Slipstream Sports and director sportif of Team Garmin-Barracuda.
