Cyclists can get free bike lights in Dublin

The clock has gone back the dark evenings have well and truly arrived. Anyone commuting to and from work, college or even school by bike can now expect to make some of that journey in the dark.

And that means one thing; we all absolutely must have lights.

With that in mind, the kind and energetic folk at Dublin Cycling Campaign are taking matters into their own hands.

They’ve sourced a veritable mountain of front and rear lights and they’ll be giving them out for free in the next few days.

The only drawback is that as a Dublin-based organisation, the distribution locations are all in the capital:

  • Tues 31st Oct - Grand Canal Dock-Pearse St, 5-6.30pm
  • Weds 1st Nov - The Five Lamps, 5-6.30pm
  • Thurs 2nd Nov - Portobello Bridge-Rathmines Rd, 5-6.30pm

So if you’re passing feel free to rock up and get some lights for your rothar free of charge.

Dublin Cycling Campaign is also seeking volunteers who may have some time to spend to help distribute the free lights.
