Cyclists big winners as Blackrock village to be remodeled due to Covid19

Cyclists are set to score something of a win when Blackrock village in south Co Dublin is remodeled during works set to commence next month.

The reworking of the village, due to the Covid19 crisis, will see drivers in vehicles restricted to one lane in a one-way system.

That downgrading of the place of vehicles will give way to a street-scape that gives greater priority to cyclists and pedestrians.

The space reclaimed from drivers will be given over to cyclists in the shape of ample cycle lane space and there will be wider footpaths for pedestrians.
