Cyclist Vs driver row in Irish gets it's own Patrick's Day float | Video

This recent heated argument between a man in a van, above, a cyclist who recorded the incident has been given its own St Patrick's day float in Co Galway

A recent heated exchange between a van driver and cyclist, which unfolded in Irish, has been given its own float in the St Patrick's Day parade held today in An Cheathrú Rua, or Carraroe, in the Galway gaeltacht.

The float featured a van and it's driver in orange overalls walking behind, with the cyclist trailing them, as was the case during the recent heated exchange as gaeilge that went viral on social media.

The original incident, which was reported on at the time by stickybottle and other media outlets, was unusual in that the whole exchange was conducted in Irish.

The cyclist recorded the incident and took the footage to the Garda, saying at the time the driver faced being sanctioned. However, the cyclist also said he too was warned about his own behaviour.
