Cyclist spotted towing golf bag through Dublin traffic; we love it

Getting around Dublin by bike wasn't going to stop this rider from getting the absolute most out of his day. He was clearly set on combining two sports; and doing it his own way.  This is the first cyclist we've seen towing a golf bag, but we like it

Innovation comes in many forms and this cyclist spotted in Dublin clearly thinks outside the box and doesn't care what others think. He was spotted by Irish racing cyclist Mark David Heather towing his golf bag in the capital yesterday.

At the time he was photographed he was on the Chapelizod bypass heading towards the city centre. He's fully kitted out, and even has aero bars on. We're not quite sure how aero towing a golf bag is.

But by all accounts he was riding along at a fairly decent clip; the golf bag proving stable enough trailing behind him.

Its stability may be tested in a strong crosswind or on a windy descent, of course. And we're not sure we'd be wild about towing a golf bag up a climb.

But plenty of people tow trailers around now with their bikes; with everything from their weekly shopping to their kids and pets inside. So why not a golf bag?

Golfer-cyclist; we salute you sir!
