
A cyclist, who was riding an e-bike, has been hospitalised with serious injuries after a crash involving a driver in Dublin rush hour on Thursday. Gardaí have launched an investigation and are appealing for witnesses.
The serious crash occurred on the N11 in Cabinteely at the junction with Johnstown Road shortly before 5pm, with gardaí and other emergency services personnel attending the scene.
"The cyclist, a man aged in his 20s, was seriously injured. He was conveyed by ambulance to Beaumont Hospital, Dublin, where his condition is understood to be serious," the Garda said in a statement.
"The scene is preserved for a technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and traffic diversions are in place. Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.
"Any road users who may have camera footage - including dash-cam - and were travelling in the area at the time are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaí."
