This cyclist has become an unlikely hero; following the cavalcade containing US president Donald Trump and giving him the finger, even persisting when she caught the cars after they passed her.

A female cyclist who gave Donald Trump the finger as he passed in his presidential cavalcade is going viral globally.
The woman gave the one-fingered salute as the US president’s vehicles passed her just as they had left one of Trump’s golf courses in Sterling, Virginia.

But when the cavalcade was then forced to slow, the cyclist caught up and she continued to give Trump the finger.
The press was there to capture a photo of the lone protestor. And the US media is searching for the woman to interview her.
Even the White House pool, which contains snippets of information on the US president’s day, recorded the incident in some detail.

“POTUSs motorcade departed the Trump National Golf Club at 3.12pm, passing two pedestrians, one of whom gave a thumbs down sign,” it said.
“Then it overtook a female cyclist, wearing a white top and cycling helmet, who responded by giving the middle finger.
“The motorcade had to slow and the cyclist caught up, still offering the finger, before turning off in a different direction.
“Motorcade is now gathering speed and heading for DC. Pool did not see any golfing and sought names of POTUSs playing partners but no word yet.”
