Gardai have launched an investigation into the robbery of a cash from a security company crew by a man on a bicycle.
The raider cycled up to the victim and demanded money
before cycling away with it.
It was unclear how much money was stolen but the cash was
taken from a cash in transit crew; which collect and deliver cash for banks,
other businesses and to service ATMs.
The robbery occurred on Tuesday afternoon when the
cyclist escaped with a cash box in north Dublin.
The security crew was making its rounds in Beaumont when
the raider cycled up to one crew member who was carrying a cash box.
The man on the bike made threats and demanded the money,
which was handed over in the cash box.
And the raider then cycled off with the unspecified sum
of money.
