Cycling Ireland has opened the application process for
its Athlete Development Programme. The development set-up is aimed at junior
riders – those born in 2003 and 2004 – and seeks to guide the progress of some
of our best emerging cyclists.

The national governing body has stressed places on the
programme are open to riders across all disciplines, with coaches and
performance experts available in those areas.

“The Cycling
Ireland Athlete Development Programme requires a high level of commitment,”
Cycling Ireland said in its statement inviting applications to the scheme for
this year.

“As part of this programme, you will be required to
attend all training activities, education workshops, share your training peaks
account with the Cycling Ireland coaches, and fully engage with all the
performance experts that will be working with the programme.”
