Cycling Ireland has launched a new-look website, complete with a new corporate identity that ditches the old logo and identity of the national governing body.
Cycling Ireland said it was “excited” to reveal its new “brand
identity and website”, especially on ‘World Bicycle Day’.
“Our logo is a stylised overhead view of a cyclist made
from our initials 'CI'. It highlights Cycling Ireland's ambition to always support
and protect members of the cycling community. The 'C' wraps around the 'I'
supporting and caring for cycling in Ireland,” Cycling Ireland said of its new
look.
“Cycling is one of Ireland’s largest participation sports
with an estimated 700,000 people cycling on a weekly basis across the island of
Ireland. The sport we love welcomes people of all ages, stages, abilities and
interests.
“Whether you prefer uphill, downhill, on road or
off-road, you're into racing or leisurely coffee spins, we all share that love
of cycling. We're all part of the same community. We nod, wink and wave at our
fellow cyclist.”
Cycling Ireland's new site has been launched today and you can have a look at it right here - but then come back to us at stickybottle because we're the only show in town for Irish cycling news.
