Cycling Ireland and French team offer road racing in France to Irish juniors

If you're an Irish junior you can now apply to race with VC Pontivy in France for two stints next year

Cycling Ireland has joined forces with a French team to offer racing opportunities in France to Irish junior cyclists next year.

Successful candidates will race in
France for a short stint in the spring and will then go back for a number of
months during the summer.

That second stint of racing will have
breaks included to allow the juniors return home for the National Road
Championships and the Junior Tour of Ireland.

“VC Pontivy, based in Brittany, France,
in co-operation with Cycling Ireland will offer two or three junior men the
opportunity to race in France for the 2020 season,” Cycling Ireland said.

It added the racing would unfold during
a two week period – three weekends - over the Easter break.

The second stint would be for two
months, between the end of May and end of August, including time to return to
Ireland for the championships and Junior Tour.
