Two cyclists have been escorted off a motorway in Britain, while drunk and wearing Santa hats.

The incident occurred in the West Midlands on Christmas Day around lunch time.

And while cycling on motorways is illegal, the police in the area described as “unbelievable” the fact that both cyclists were intoxicated.

“It might be Christmas but you still can't cycle on a motorway,” said Central Motorway Police Group.

It was unclear at the time of writing how they were being dealt with.
