A crash at Liège-Bastogne-Liège has taken out a large number of riders, including world champion Julian Alaphilippe (Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl).
The incident occurred with about 60km to go and in the main field as it was chasing a six-man breakaway three minutes up the road.
