Countdown begins to Junior, Vets and A3 National Road Race & TT Champs

Cuchulainn Cycling Club has issued a reminder that the closing date for entries for the National Junior, Vets and A3 Road Race and TT Championships is fast approaching, with just one week remaining until the August 16th registration cut off point.

Events will kick off on Saturday week, August 18th, with the championship Time Trial event for Juniors and Vets at the race venue in Blackrook just outside Dundalk, Co Louth. The test will be on a 35km course.

The following day – Sunday, August 19th – sees two championship road races unfolding. The first of these will be the A3 race, followed by the Juniors. There will be no Vets road race. The Vets title event was run six weeks ago in Clonmel, with Joe Fenlon (Dan Morrissey-Speedy Spokes) lifting that crown. The A3 and Junior races will be contested over 105km (6 laps x 17.5km circuit) with the events finishing in the village of Blackrock at or around 3pm.

We’ll have more on this a little closer to the dates of competition.
