Chris Froome targeted by road rage driver, bike destroyed
Chris Froome's bike is destroyed after a road rage incident. The driver followed him onto the pavement.
Chris Froome has escaped without injury after a road rage incident in which his bike was destroyed.
The Team Sky leader and Tour de France champion said he "got rammed on purpose".
He took to Twitter to say he was hit “by an impatient driver who followed me onto the pavement”.
Froome added: “Thankfully I'm okay. Bike totalled. Driver kept going.”
Chris Froome did not state where the incident took place.
However, the photo suggests it was posted in Beausoleil, France.
Froome lives in nearby Monaco and appears to have been out training at the time of the incident.
