Chris Froome's disastrous year has gotten a little but worse with news that he sliced a tendon in his hand and had to undergo surgery.
The four-time Tour de France winner said he cut his hand with a knife at home and had to have surgery last night to put the tendon back together.
He released the photo of himself below, with a bandaged up hand he said was stuck in a 'thumbs up' for the next few weeks.
