Charlie Prendergast has topped the A1
Cycling Ireland rankings for the year after taking 12 victories and scoring
points no fewer than 30 times through the year.

The Castlebar Cycling Club man ended the
season with 253 points. Lindsay Watson (Powerhouse Sport) was next on 220
points and Conor Hennebry (Dan Morrissey-MIG-Pactimo) was 3rd on 210 points.

Prendergast was on a podium 23 times
during the year, including one-day races, stage race general classifications
and stages within those races.

It was
on home roads, at Rás Mhaigheo, that Prendergast got his winning run underway,
claiming a stage and the overall at that race back in the spring.

He then
went on to take the Waller Cup and Deanside Cup in quick succession followed by
the Newbridge GP, John Holian Cup and Paddy Flanagan Memorial.

Prendergast
continued his run with more wins at the Meath GP, Challenge CC GP, Tourmakeady
Festival race, Connacht Road Championships and Galway County Championships.

Rankings runner-up Watson won nine races
this year including: Tour of Ards, PJ Logan Cup, Bann Valley Classic, Hilltown
GP, Alistair McSorley
Race, Canal Criterium ,Tommy Givan Memorial, Galway Classic and J G Memorial
Road Race.

Conor Hennebry claimed 10 wins: Rás Luimni, NTW Open Road Race, Des
Hanlon Memorial, Tour of Ulster overall, Brian McNamara Memorial, Collins
Christie Memorial, Rás Cill Mocheallog, Munster Road Race Championships, Kilmessan
GP and Laragh Classic.
