Former national cyclo-cross champion Roger Aiken will be looking to consolidate his lead in the Ulster ‘cross series in Belfast tomorrow, Sunday.
The Banbridge CC rider was best in Lurgan two weeks ago when the series opened. However, when he travelled to Dublin last Saturday for the first round of the Supercross Cup, he started much too slowly and had to be content with second place behind Team WORC’s off-road master Robin Seymour.
Seymour is not included in the provisional start list for tomorrow (see below) so a showdown between the two will have to wait until the cyclo-cross season returns to Dublin next Saturday.
However, Aiken is unlikely to have it all his own way in Belfast and will face tough competition in the shape of Ryan Sherlock (SportActive) and junior Matt Adair (Banbridge CC).

The venue at Sir Thomas and Lady Dixon Park is new to the cyclo-cross calendar, although it was used for MTB racing earlier this year.
The course is a rolling one and with the rain of the past few days, the 140 riders entered for the full programme of racing may be in for a tough test.
The promoting club Apollo CC are putting on a total of seven races. Start times are as follows: Under-8 10.40am; U12 11:05am; MTB support race, U16 & U14 11.30am; 1pm main cyclo-cross race.
In the main even there are prizes for the first three over the line, first three women, first unplaced junior, unplaced vet and unplaced supervet (50+)
