Fellow Irish internationals and new Rapha Condor JLT team mates, Aaron Buggle and Felix English will be the first Irish riders into action in 2013 when they line out in Australia tomorrow, New Year’s Day.
They will take to the start line in the first of three races in the Mitchelton Bay Cycling Classic criterium series. That first race is being held in Geelong near Melbourne.
The following day they’ll again be in action on a tougher circuit in Portarlington, with the third and final round unfolding the day after that in Williamstown on a circuit that hugs the shores of Hobson’s Bay.

There is no hope of a gentle start for the duo, with a quality field in place for this year’s series which includes WorldTour team Orica GreenEDGE. It boasts quality riders like Leigh Howard and Luke Durbridge in its line-up for the early 2013 outings.
Also in the field are the likes of Greg Henderson, Koen de Kort, Jonathon Cantwell and a GB team.
