Brilliant sprint finish photo sequence captures near miss
This gallop to the finish line very nearly went horribly wrong, as the photo sequence below reveals.
They took a convincing 1-2 at the Kilmessan GP in Co Meath yesterday. But Aqua Blue Academy was lucky not to see one of its star turns hit the tarmac hard.
Matteo Cigala was beaten to the line for victory by team mate Mark O'Callaghan. However, such was his excitement with the result that he celebrated a little too wildly!
He punched the air but very nearly lost the bike from under himself such was the force of his exertion.
