The pimped camper van owned by Bradley Wiggins, with the smallest bathroom you'll ever see, just sold for a hefty price at auction. But it would have made the ideal cycling team vehicle.
Bradley Wiggins camper van sold at auction
A camper van owned by Bradley Wiggins has just sold at auction in the UK for £47,000. But it had initially been offered for sale at a car dealership for £50,000.
However, it was soon withdrawn and put up for auction, which has just taken place.
Wiggins bought the Mercedes three years ago. And now it’s being auctioned by British Car Auctions in Surrey on September 21st.
There’s space for bikes and kit in the back and even an area for storing kit for servicing bikes, which you can see in the video.

Furthermore, the seats have been fitted with small TV screens and there’s a table and seats set-up similar to what you’d find on most trains.

And the ‘Wiggo’ logo has been worked into the upholstery in several places.
British Car Auctions described it thus: “The coachbuilt Sporthome by McLaren is based on a long-wheelbase Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 316 2.1 with manual transmission.
“It was commissioned by Bradley Wiggins in 2014. And while finished in white, has been vinyl wrapped in Team Wiggins colours of blue.
“(It has) with chromed wing mirrors and bull bar and eight-spoke alloy wheels. It has covered 5,500 miles.”
“The driver’s area has two leather seats and a custom GB dashboard with integrated Kenwood satellite navigation and CD unit.
“The vehicle is fitted with privacy blinds throughout for overnight stays and there is air conditioning throughout.”
That's one very small loo; but it gets the job done...
