Bora-hansgrohe has unveiled its new-look racing kit for 2022, when Sam Bennett goes back to the German team and Irish champion Ryan Mullen will be leading him out.

Bennett and Mullen don't technically become Bora-hansgrohe riders until January 1st, with their contracts with Deceuninck-QuickStep and Trek-Segafredo expire and their new deals commence.

Bennett, who rode for Bora-hansgrohe in its various guises for six years to the end of 219, has returned to the team for two years, with Mullen also on a two-year deal.

The team said Specialized and Le Col had designed the new kit "taking inspiration from US sports" to come up with a look that team general manager Ralph Denk described as "a winner".

"We’ll definitely stand out in the field," Denk added. "The starting point was US college sports, particularly baseball. I have to admit that at first, I may have been a little sceptical, but the results ended up being very convincing.

"For us, however, the focus is not only on looking smart, we also want to be fast. During our wind tunnel tests in winter, we compared our new kit with competitors’ products, and I can say that we will be fast, very fast. The name of the collection is 'no off season' and relates to the camaraderie within the team. Because true camaraderie takes no hiatus."
