Cyclists who helped a friend off MTB trails when he crashed and needed to be hospitalised had their bikes stole.

The PSNI in Newry-Mournes said when three riders were on the trails one of them crashed.

He was badly injured and needed to be helped out of the location so he could be taken to hospital.

The two riders he was with helped get him out of the area. But when they returned to the spot where they had left the three bikes, two of them were gone.

“So how does your day going from bad to worse? Here's a pretty good example...,” said the PSNI in a statement seeking help.
