EvoPro Racing is lining out today in what will be one of its biggest one-day races of the year; the Belgian semi-classic Scheldeprijs.

Making their season debut for the team in Belgium today are young Irish riders Sean Nolan and Ben Walsh, both of whom have ridden for the Irish Continental team in the past.

The 193.8km race from Terneuzen to Schoten has a 1.Pro ranking and is always brutally hard, with many of the WorldTour teams having riders they feel can make an impact or even win.

Joining Irish internationals Walsh and Nolan on the start line today for EvoPro Racing are: former US champion Jonny Brown, reigning Brazilian champion Victor Zucco, Belgians Jeroen Eyskens and Michael Van Staeyen and Estonian Oskar Nisu.

With Paris-Roubaix postponed until October, Scheldeprijs is the last big outting for the big cobbled classics and semi classics men before their favoured events come to an end this year.

Aside from EvoPro Racing in the event there is plenty of Irish interest as Sam Bennett leads Deceuninck-QuickStep into the race and is the red hot favourite for today.

However, other big names such as Wout van Aert (Jumbo Visma), Mathieu van der Poel and Tim Merlier (Alpecin-Fenix), Pascal Ackermann (Bora-hansgrohe), Alexander Kristoff (UAE Team Emirates), Giacomo Nizzolo (Qhubeka ASSOS), Elia Viviani (Cofidis) and others will be looking to take the victory.
