We knew the bond was strong between Sam Bennett and Ryan Mullen when they went to Bora-hansgrohe as part of the same sprinting line-up but it seems the bromance runs a lot deeper than even we thought.
This evening they took a leaf of Kate Winslet's and Leonardo de Caprio's book - from their starring roles in Titantic - for an romantic embrace at the front of the boat they sailed through Utrecht in at the Vuelta team presentation.
The move was a massive hit with the fans gathered to watch the ceremony, with the two Irish riders very much the stars of the show - no surprise there.

It won't be the last time Bennett puts himself in Mullen's hands (sorry - Ed) over the next three weeks as the Irish pair, along with Danny van Poppel, aim to secure stage wins at this Vuelta with Bennett as the star sprinter.
It's great to see the two riders from Bora-hansgrohe in such good form ahead of what's going to be a challenging Vuelta, but one where we feel they are going to get it right and take those overdue wins.
Excellent stuff from the duo this evening! Their hearts will go on and on.... (sorry again - Ed).
