It's coming up to the usual end of year awards season and if there is a category anywhere for 'most relaxed wheel change of the year' Ben Healy (EF Education-EasyPost) is surely in contention for this effort earlier today.
He pulled in to the side of the road at the Tour de France Singapore Criterium with a puncture and those offering mechanical assistance still had the spare wheels in bags.
They eventually decided to open one and get Healy going again, after a fashion, with the Irish rider waiting patiently. He eventually rejoined the race - after missing a lap - following the most relaxed performance of the year by rider and mechanics.
The "race" - these are usually demonstration events with a pre-arranged outcome - was won by Jonathan Milan (Lidl Trek), with Healy finishing 17th, of just 40 starters, in a group 15 seconds down.
