Awful Garda bike lane gaffe not going down well with Irish cyclists
The Garda posted this photo about illegal parking. But they seemed to have missed the elephants in the room, or rather on the cycle lane.
The Garda has posted a photo of illegal parking in Dublin. But they’ve completely ignored the vehicles parked on the cycle lane.
And it looks very like the cars are parked in the same spot that other vehicles were towed from just a couple of months ago.
So it seems odd that Garda doesn't even seem to notice the cycle lane parking this time around.
Twitter users haven’t been slow to pick up on it. Many have observed that the Garda seems to have completely missed the illegal parking that would affect cyclists.
The photo documents a scene yesterday on Conyngham Rd near Dublin’s Phoenix Park.
Other Twitter users have been quick to criticise members of the Garda for the way they park their cars in the area and other parts of the city.

@GardaTraffic This also happens near our Garda stations (e.g Pearse Street and Harcourt Square) and often much worse than the parking in the photograph.
