Audio: Richardson on his dramatic Rás day and shedding 5kg lately

Ian Richardson came down in a crash on the Rás stage 6 into Dungarvan but fought back and is looking good to take the county rider overall.

Having enjoyed something of a breakthrough ride during last year's An Post Rás, Ian Richardson is in poll position to take the county rider classification again this time around.

However, he says he is apprehensive about the cat 1 Mount Leinster ascent still to come.

Former king of the mountains leader Bryan McCrystal of Louth ASEA-Wheelworx is 3rd at 6:22 with two stages remaining.
