Larry Warbasse in his new Aqua Blue Sport US champion's kit. Our favourite this year by a mile.
Larry Warbasse Aqua Blue Sport US champion's kit
Aqua Blue Sport has just produced what we think is the coolest looking national champion's kit of the year.
Larry Warbasse won the US title in June. And it immediately fell to Irish ProContinental team Aqua Blue Sport to produce a champion's kit for him.
He's lining out in it for the first time in the Vuelta a Burgos (2.HC) in Spain this week. And he looks absolutely fantastic; a real Captain America.
The Aqua Blue Sport navy and gold livery lends itself beautifully to the US champion's colour scheme.
But even with a good start with colours, the designer still had to get it right.
And whoever came up with this look, at Vermarc, has banged out a home run and touchdown (see what we did there - Ed) simultaneously.
The shorts and jersey both feature the US stars and stripes. So it's by no means subtle. But it definitely works.
Warbasse had already won a stage of the Tour de Suisse in June before his US title win a fortnight later.
And now probably the best dressed rider in the pro peloton, he'll be under pressure for more wins!
It must be said that Team Wiggins had turned out what is probably our favourite trade team kit of the year. Some of the detailing is fantastic.
In that team of course is Irish U23 road and TT champion Michael O'Loughlin.
Team Wiggins has also done a great job on his Irish champion's look, though O'Loughlin only gets to wear it in U23 races.
