
"I'm not here to take part, I'm here to take over": The inimitable Conor McGregor was in great form at the UFC fight in Dublin's O2 Arena last night, but a well known cyclist popped up in an unexpected place.
Always an interesting character when he was ripping up the domestic racing scene in the late 1980s and early '90s, Julian Dalby popped up in an expected place last night; as the doctor for the UFC fight at Dublin's O2 Arena where Conor McGregor topped the bill.
Dalby is to the left of the shot above, behind McGregor as he raises his arm aloft in triumph.
Dalby is a former national road race champion and won a shed-full of races during a very prolific cycling career.
He has since qualified as a doctor and has also turned his attention to mixed martial arts.
