Another compilation of some extremely nice bikes, bits and pieces on show at Eurobike

Myles McCorry has compiled another greatest hits (and not so greatest hits) from Eurobike.

There's some nice bits and pieces in here form the German bike fare, to be fair.....

It was the last day at the hub of the spinning EuroBike show. Lightweight were proud to show off their new frame (which looked a lot like other black frames). But they do excel with stunning wheels. Their new set weigh 900grams. To put that into perspective; Zipp 404s are 1570 grams.

Wilier's new Centro Air frame set is under 1,000grams which is light for an aero frame. It''s also beautiful in the flesh, mixing gloss and matt finishing . The Italian-made flagship bike with SRAM red is a cool €3,900.

I was very impressed by Zeroflats. A big Dutch guy hammered nails and pins into a nice new 700 X 23 racing clincher. Small white stuff pissed out and then stopped. Self-sealing tyres have come of age. Most Mavic, Campagnolo and Fulcrum wheels can go tubeless. Michelin lead the way in road tyres which sit hard on the rim without a tube; using 90psi+ to hold them safely in place. The absence of a tube saves you 100-200 grams. The 'gue' is 30 grams inside the tyre so rotating weight is down and punctures are reduced to a minimum. Zero flats won't defend against a knife attack or gun shot, but notwithstanding, they need an Irish and USA distributor. www.zeroflats.com if you're keen.

Tange have been making steel, drawn bike tubes in Japan for decades and are a first call for many bespoke frame builders. I liked this retro lo pro.

Casco are renowned for their hard shell track helmets used by most sprinters on the boards. This is their new aero road lid. Thankfully they spent longer designing the air flow than thinking up the name. The 'speedairo' is lightish and the visor easily removable. No retail price yet; for winter release

There is a lot of this at Eurobike.....

....... way too much of this (KTM's full suspension electric mountain bike)......

The integrated front brake on the Look 695 aero light adds to make it one of the most desirable bikes around. The bars and cranks are also specific to this bike, and the result is ultra fast and stunning looking.
