After a horrible spate of 13 cyclist deaths on the roads of the UK in the past 10 days, some of them involving trucks, it would be well worth everyone's while to have a quick look at these three short videos.
The first one, above, effectively puts truck drivers and cyclists in each others positions on the road.
It contains really practical advice on how to keep yourself safe in traffic, with a lengthy examination of the blind spots on a truck. They are very significantly bigger than most of us would have suspected.
The second video, just below, is a short film focussing exclusively on the truck blind spot issue; with more demonstrations that should really make us all think and be a little bit more aware.
And the final video - at the very bottom of this item - is a general road safety video to get you thinking and which will hopefully improve your safety.
Conditions are a bit trickier out there now, with dark evenings and greasy roads from rain and wet leaves. So it really would be a few minutes well spent to have a look at these clips.
Stay focussed and lit up. And most of all, stay safe.
