With just a few weeks remaining in the 2016 road racing season in Ireland, Daire Feeley is leading the Cycling Ireland rankings by a whisker from Sean Lacey.
The iTap man has collected 208 ranking points so far this year, with five wins and a large number of placings, and has a lead of just one point over Aquablue's Lacey.
Feeley has been going very well right from the gun, taking 2nd place in the Mick Lally Memorial in Co Meath at the start of the season and not letting up since then.
However, it took him a little longer than one might have expected to get his first victory under his belt, that coming at the Donamon GP in mid June.

He then really hit his stride, following up that victory with another at the Claremorris Criterium and the Connacht Road Championships.
He has since continued that run with wins at the Shannonside CC GP, Brian McNamara Memorial and Beechmount Cup.

After the leading two of Feely and Lacey there is then a bigger gap in the rankings, though not huge, back to the next best riders.
The revelation of recent seasons since switching to road racing from the downhill discipline, Chris McGlinchey of ChainReactionCycles, currently fills 3rd in the rankings on 186 points.
UCD CC's Eoin Morton is next on 172 points, with Mark Dowling (ASEA-Wheelworx) on 162 and Suir Valley Three Day winner Ian Richardson of UCD CC in 6th place on 131 points.
Richardson is on equal points with Conor Hennebry; the Aquablue ride in 7th place even though he has spent a period racing in Belgium of late where he has taken a number of very strong wins.
And another man who has taken huge strides forward this year and very much clicked into a winning mode Eoin O'Connell of Killarney CC is 8th on 127 points followed by another Kerryman Cathal Moynihan of Tralee Manor West iBike on 120 points in 9th.
And rounding out the top 10 is David Watson; the North Down CC man who had a sensational season last year having had another very solid campaign again this time around has gathered 110 points.
