Dan Martin will be the protected rider for Etixx-QuickStep at the Tour de France which starts on Saturday and there is fine value to be had on the Irishman finishing in the top 10 on general classification.
With the Tour de France just days away, we've taken a look at the odds offered by Paddy Power.
The country’s biggest bookmakers have just released some very interesting odds and betting specials ahead of this year’s race, which gets underway on Saturday.
We spent time trawling the site for value and we came up with five very tasty bets.
1) Romain Bardet to finish on podium 8/1

The Frenchman is flying at the moment and was superb at the Dauphiné, finishing runner-up behind Chris Froome.
He’s on home soil in a race he finished sixth in two years ago and with such a hilly parcours he should definitely challenge the more established names.
2) Stage 1 head to head: Sam Bennett (4/6) v Samuel Dumoulin (11/10)

We’re not sure who came up with this extremely random bet but we know one thing, Bennett is a better sprinter than Sam Dumoulin.
If Sam finishes ahead of the Ag2r La Mondiale man on Saturday, your tenner will buy you the price of a Sunday dinner (in Cork!).
3) Dan Martin to finish in the top 10 9/4

Again, we’re slightly biased but Martin gives us no other option. Like Bardet, he is motoring at the moment and is going to the Tour full of confidence.
A top 10 doesn’t interest Martin; he is going there to win.
4) Sam Bennett to win stage one 50/1

Bennett clearly isn’t getting the respect he deserves – or else the good folk at Paddy Power are just incredibly generous.
Kittel and Greipel are the outstanding favourites for Saturday but Bennett is as good as both on his day.
Of course, the list of men who can win on Sunday are many but we think our man has every reason to be confident.
5) Julian Alaphilippe to finish in top 10 14/1

Could this man be the next big thing in French cycling? We think so, and this could be the race where Alaphilippe really announces himself to the world.
He has been truly magnifique all year with overall victory in the Tour of California, second in Fléche-Wallone, sixth in Amstel Gold and fifth in the national championships.
At 14/1 for a top 10 on GC, you won’t get better value than that.
