Sam Bennett storms to first pro win for NetApp from breakaway in Clasica de Almeria

Ireland's Sam Bennett has followed up a string of great results in Oman and Qatar in recent weeks with victory ion Spain today.

 

 

Sam Bennett has stormed to his first win in the colours of new Pro Continental team NetApp Endura in Spain today.

The 23-year-old from Carrick infiltrated a 20-man breakaway at the Clasica de Almeria, a UCI 1.1 race in Spain, and took the sprint for victory.

He took that win despite the presence of some of the biggest teams in the world in the escape including Cofidis and Movistar.
