Conor Dunne is Ireland's tallest pro cyclist, at 6ft 9inches. The difference between his height and some of his rivals in the Tour de Korea was huge.

Cliché as it sounds; JLT-Condor rider Conor Dunne really is the gentleman giant of Irish cycling.

Known as one of the most relaxed and agreeable riders in the sport, Dunne has always been a big lad.

And now that he's all grown up, he's stretched to 6ft 9inches. That's considerably taller than most people on the planet.

It's not unusual to be able to pick Dunne out of a breakaway or even a large peloton at a glance simply because he is so tall.

But the difference in size between him and his rivals has never been more obvious than in this photo he's just shared on Instagram.

It was taken during the recent Tour de Korea, where the Irish international took 4th on a stage after a day-long breakaway ride.

The riders he escaped with happened to be two of the smaller guys in the race.

And when this photo was taken, Dunne was ever so slightly out of the saddle which made him look a little bit taller than he is.

It's a wonder Dunne has done so well in his career given how much little shelter he gets from those around him, but how much of a shield against the wind he provides for his rivals.

The guys in this escape with him must have been counting their lucky stars!
