Barry Meade takes the flag in Monasterevin to get his 2013 campaign off to a great start
Barry Meade (Planet Tri) lifted the first silverware of the domestic calendar in Co Kildare today, Sunday, when he took the Ned Flanagan Trophy, beating off a massive field of 228 in the handicap 70km event.
Meade came into the finish alone in Monasterevin, as drama played out behind him, with a crash late on and the largest A1/A2 group being sent the wrong way near Portlaoise. We’ll have a full report shortly.
